Marat Terterov: Armenia’s long term security will be better served by strengthening economic security, rather than defining national security on the basis of the Tsarist Russian catch-cry “armiya i flot”
One cannot be 100% sure that there will be no provocations during the rallies of Raffi Hovhannisian's supporters, Armenia's Justice Minister Hrayr Tovmasyan told journalists on Tuesday.
He does not rule out the possibility of clashes but hopes that the police will do their best to prevent any emergencies.
Tovmasyan said that the past presidential election was very transparent and fair and can make envious many other countries.
"Very few countries can afford counting the votes online and publishing the results on the other day of the voting. Perhaps, we did it so quickly because we had just 1,988 polling stations," the Minister said.
When asked if the regime used its administrative resources during the election, Tovmasyan said that the Armenian society is legally mature and no school principal or mayor can convince anybody to vote for one or another candidate.
