Political expert: Reports that the Azeri Parliament might adopt a law "On Occupied Territories of Azerbaijan" were just an attempt to see the reaction of the Azeri society, Armenia and the world community
Marat Terterov: Armenia’s long term security will be better served by strengthening economic security, rather than defining national security on the basis of the Tsarist Russian catch-cry “armiya i flot”
I think the current Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan does his work normally and I don't seek his post, Speaker of the Armenian Parliament Hovik Abrahamyan told journalists on Thursday.
He said that the format of the ruling coalition may be changed, particularly, it may involve such parties as Prosperous Armenia and even Heritage. "Everything is possible," he said.
Abrahamyan refuted the rumors that while meeting with Raffi Hovhannisian on Thursday, Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan promised him a post in the government.
When asked if he wanted the Prime Minister to be changed, he said that this is for the ruling party to decide.
"The past elections have shown that there is certain displeasure existing in society, so, we are committed to carry out serious reforms so as to make the lives of our people better," Abrahmyan said.
In response to a journalist's remark that the authorities keep giving promises but nothing is changing, Abrahamyan said: "We always keep our promises unlike you."
