Suren Manukyan, Deputy Director of Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute, said during a round table in Yerevan that April 24, 2015 had demonstrated a scientific and political consensus on the indisputability of the Armenian Genocide in Ottoman Turkey.
On April 24, 2015 the Armenian world commemorated a mournful date - the centennial of the Armenian Genocide in Ottoman Turkey that resulted in 1.5 million innocent victims.
"It is to state that the fact of the Armenian Genocide is indisputable in the international scientific community. Of course, there are other opinions, too, however, they drown in reputable scientists' "choir" and those who adhere to another opinion are outcast for the vast majority of their colleagues", he said.
According to Manukyan, ahead of April 24 the international political framework has responded to the issue through "silent consensus".
"The third and final premise is that ahead of April 24 the Armenian nation demonstrated unity and cohesion regarding the tragic date that marks the grief of the whole Armenian world. "I cannot predict how long they will remain united, but on April 24 the Armenians were united more than ever", he summed up.
To note, Turkey keeps denying the Armenian Genocide that has been recognized by 44 American states, 25 countries, the European Parliament, The World Council of Churches and other reputable international organizations.
