Azerbaijan's Defense Ministry considers inadmissible the request made by Armenian Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan during his last meeting with Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairman-in-Office Andrzej Kasprzyk.

During the meeting Ohanyan asked Kasprzyk to take steps to reduce tensions on the Armenian-Azeri contact line and warned that continuing instability might have dangerous consequences for Azerbaijan

1news.az quotes the Ministry as saying that Ohanyan's request is "illogical and inadmissible."

The Azeri Ministry has once again tried to shift the blame on the Armenian side and to charge it with firing at civilians and attempting to attack the Azeri positions.

The Ministry claims that the fighting spirit of the Azeri army is high enough to "rebuff and defeat the enemy and to liberate the occupied territories."

Two Armenian soldiers were killed as a result of fire opened by the Azeri side at the village of Yeraskh on June 5. Following the incident, Armenia's Defense Ministry invited Andrzej Kasprzyk for consultations.-
