The last foreign political decisions of Armenia still remain unclear to the major part of the members of the European Parliament, a member of Armenia's National Assembly from the ruling Republican Party of Armenia, co-chair of the Armenia-EU parliamentary commission, Samvel Farmanyan, wrote at his page in Facebook when commenting on the results of the 14th session of the commission held on 5-6 February in Strasbourg.
"It is obvious that the majority of members of the European Parliament, as I noticed, cannot hold a reasoned dialogue and are guided by narrow-mindedness. For this reason, a big and long-lasting work should be held", - he said. He worries about the fact that some members of the European Parliament in order to express their displeasure with the last foreign political decisions adopted by Armenia, apply as harsh approaches to the Karabakh settlement as possible. "This damages the negotiating process", - he said.
He said that this time they did not manage to adopt the final statement by the results of the work of the commission on the parliamentary cooperation, which would fix general approaches of the European Parliament and Armenia's National Assembly. The reason is in the position of the European parliamentarians regarding the Karabakh issue, Farmanyan said and added members of the European Parliament were trying to put the equality mark between the parties to the conflict and were putting the unfounded proposals forward.
