In 2014, Beeline's investments in Armenia totaled $14 mln, which is by $3 mln more than in 2013, Andrey Pyatakhin, Beeline Armenia CEO, said at today's press conference when summing up the results of the company's activities in 2014.
"The year 2014 was marked by growth in capital investments in the company's development. Owing to these investments, we launched high-speed fiber-optic Internet service based on FTTB (Fiber to the Building) technology, the digitization of regions continued and the number of mobile base stations was increased", he noted.
Pyatakhin said that in 2014, the number of Beeline mobile subscribers exceeded 777,000, which is by 82,000 more as compared to the index registered in late 2013. He added that Beeline completed the year 2014 with a revenue increase in mobile subscriber base and mobile internet service, and significant decline in the subscriber outflow.
"The total revenue generated by mobile Internet services amounted to USD 6 million in 2014 - it is by USD 0.9 million more than the revenue from the portable Internet services in 2013. The subscriber outflow made up 10.9% in Q4 2014, and it is by 1.5% less than in Q4 2013. The total operating income of the company's landline network in 2014 was by 6% less as compared to 2013, and it is accounted by global decline in the demand for landline network", he said.
As regards the total number of mobile base stations, compared to 2013, it increased by 12% in 2014, and the capital investments made up USD 6 million in Q4 2014. Beeline Armenia's tax payments exceeded AMD 14 billion in 2014.
Beeline Armenia CEO Andrey Pyatakhin also noted that 2014 marked the launch of three major customer-oriented initiatives. The company worked out a new strategy aimed at enhancement of the quality of customer service (NPS) and transformation into a customer-oriented company. "Simple and Convenient for you" and "How Much Do you Pay" marketing strategies were launched.
"I would like to especially emphasize the record-breaking growth of the Net Promoter Score (NPS) in 2014 - as compared to 2013, it increased by13 pct points. Subscriber base growth, decrease in subscriber outflow and launch of new offers demonstrate our correct path of development and prove that subscribers feel "easy and comfortable" with us. The year 2014 was a year of serious tests that we perfectly overcame. But 2015 is full of new trends and the telecommunications sector is no exception. This year may see changes in prices and optimization programs depending on the price changes in other countries", said Pyatakhin.
To recall, Beeline was awarded 5 prizes in 2014. At the 5th annual diplomatic and business forum Beeline was named the best in two nominations on September 5 - "Leader in Communication Sphere" and "Best Foreign Investor". In October, Beeline was declared "Leading Telecommunication Operator", and late last year it was awarded the title of "Most Environmentally Responsible Company".
