Member of Armenian parliament: Even financing of terrorists in Syria by Turkey will not force NATO criticize Turkey in harsh terms

  • Monday, June 9, 14:37

Unlike the CSTO, where they like to put their partners in a hard situation, there is a tradition in NATO - not to infringe upon the interests of its member-states, a member of the Armenian parliamentary delegation to the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, Tevan Pogosyan, said at today's press-conference.

"Even financing of terrorists in Syria by Turkey, in particular, when attacking the Armenian districts of Aleppo, will not force NATO criticize Turkey in harsh terms", - he said. He also added that during the latest session of the NATO PA the Armenian delegation called on the NATO leadership to draw attention at the fact of Turkey's supporting of the islamist-rebels in Syria. "Representative of Turkey immediately reacted and said that this information does not meet reality. Unfortunately, irrespective of numerous facts presented by us, NATO functionaries did not show an adequate reaction", - the head  of the Armenian delegation to NATO PA, Koryun Nahapetyan, said for his part.
