Politician: Azerbaijani-Turkish alliance pardoned Safarov to change OSCE Minsk Group format

 The key purpose of an Azerbaijani killer Ramil Safarov's extradition and pardoning was changing of the situation in the negotiating process on
Nagornyy Karabakh conflict settlement, representative of the opposition "Heritage" party, political expert Stepan Safaryan said at today's press-conference.

"In this case the Azerbaijani-Turkish alliance was functioning, in which Azerbaijan was trying to put the Karabakh issue on the international agenda, and Turkey - to ensure changing of the OSCE Minsk Group format and press in it", - Safaryan said. He also added that it is necessary to continue the negotiating process as the refusal to participate in it will lead to changing of the format. Safaryan said that the Azerbaijani-Turkish alliance is interested in
resumption of the battle actions in Nagornyy Karabakh Republic, but in case of the war, this alliance will try to put responsibility upon the Armenian parties and present official Yerevan as an aggressor and terrorist. He also added that the Azerbaijani party has already started making certain steps in this direction, in particular, they said about threats to Azerbaijani diplomats and even published false letters on behalf of ASALA. As for Yerevan's
strategy in the created situation, Safaryan thinks that Armenia should recognize Nagornyy Karabakh.
