Prosperous Armenia Party is against draft budget 2013

Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP) is against draft budget 2013, a member of the PAP parliamentary faction, Mikael Melkumyan, said at today's press-conference.

He said that PAP doubts in the ability of the government to predict consequences of its budgetary policy. For this reason, the PAP will vote against this document, he said.

He touched on raising of minimal salary by 2500 drams - up to 35,000 drams and the accumulative pension system and said that 35,000 drams is very far from the minimum living standard and food basket, which is 53 thsd drams at present, and cannot resolve any serious
matter. "So, minimal salary should be more than 55 thsd drams, and Armenia has the relevant reserves for that", - he said.

Touching on transition to the obligatory accumulative pension system, he said that it should be voluntary.
