Artak Gevorgyan, member of "Counterblow" art group, who is charged of attempting "to crash" into the iron gates of the building of the National Security Service of Armenia, does not agree with the hooliganism charges he faces.
During the May 23 hearing at the General Jurisdiction Court of Center and Nork Marash Communities, Gevorgyan said that the core of the charges is not clear to him. "I am charged with hooliganism, but I cannot understand what public order I violated and how I did it in blunt terms. Not a single step of mine was against the society," he said. To recall, on 10 Dec 2015, around 1:30 am, the young man "crashed" into the building of the National Security Service of Armenia by a cardboard tank. He is charged with violating public order under Article 258.1 of the Armenian Criminal Code. The case was sent to the court. The trial is still going on.
