Delegation of French President Francois Hollande to the Armenian Genocide Centennial commemorations in Yerevan will comprise 100-120 people, French Ambassador to Armenia Jean-Francois Charpentier told reporters on March 23.
The ambassador said the delegation will mainly comprise representatives of the Armenian Diaspora in France. French mass media representatives will also visit Armenia.
Earlier, Francois Hollande called on Turkey to dispel stereotypes and recognize the Genocide of Armenians.
"It is time for Armenia and Turkey to create a promising turning point." The French president said he will be in Yerevan on April 24 to attend the events timed to the centenary of the Armenian Genocide.
Genocide of Armenians has been recognized by 22 countries, and 43 of 50 United States. The European People's Party has recently recognized the Genocide of Armenians and called on Ankara to follow its example and recompense for the aftermaths of that crime.
