The domestic political situation in Ukraine will not hinder further development of the Armenian-Ukrainian relationship, Armenian Deputy Foreign Minister Shavarsh Kocharyan told journalists on Saturday.
"Armenia will keep developing relations with Ukraine regardless of Ukrainian people's choice. This is our stance", said Kocharyan when asked what policy Yerevan is going to conduct with respect to Kyiv given the Kremlin's negative attitude to the new authorities in Ukraine.
Kocharyan stressed that interaction with Kyiv meets the national interests of Armenia. The two countries have an Intergovernmental Commission. "Certainly, our joint work may have some breaks given the current situation, because the executive power is being formed. I think we'll have to put off some issues due to the domestic political situation in Ukraine", said Kocharyan.
