Serzh Sargsyan: In 2033 Armenia will overcome unemployment and become one of the developed countries in Europe

Constitution has won the presidential campaign in Armenia in 2013, incumbent president of Armenia, Leader of the Republican Party of Armenia, made such statement to voters on the last campaigning day, Saturday.  As regards the campaigns of his opponents, Sargsyan outlined the strategy of Heritage Party Leader Raffi Hovanisian: "Raffi Hovannisian conducted quite peculiar presidential campaign full with hand shake. Many perceived that with sarcasm, but he implemented a new political culture in Armenia," the president said.  Speaking of the campaign of Hrant Bagratyan, Leader of Liberty Party, the president assured voters that he is happy to see a parliamentarian in Armenia able to elaborate such programs.

"I followed Bagratyan's campaign with pleasure," the president said and promised to cooperate will all the candidates and learn the positive moments of their campaigns if re-elected.

As for the Karabakh issue, the president said that he has managed to achieve stability in the negotiation process over the past years, and the stances of the Armenian party and the OSCE Minsk Group are harmonious.  "Armenia's positions in the Karabakh peace negotiations are stronger now than those of Baku," Serzh Sargsyan said.

The president touched upon the Armenian-Turkish relations and said that he did everything to normalize those relations, but his steps have brought no results.  "However, I don't regret for what we have done.  In fact, Armenia's international policy has significantly strengthened," he said.

As regards the domestic policy, the president said that the major task is to settle the employment problem and ensure social equality.  "We have an opportunity to develop, but it is requires neither 5 nor 100 steps (election programs of Raffi Hovannisian and Hrant Bagratyan - ed.), but thousands and millions of steps we have partially made," the president said for conclusion.
