Russia has used the self- determination principle to annex Crimea but sooner or later that principle may work against it, Director of the Armenian Center for National and International Studies Manvel Sargsyan told journalists on Monday.
"I don't think that the West will swallow this. Being a federation, Russia may one day face the other end of this stick, and once this happens, the West will apply the same principle to Russia just like Russia is applying it to Ukraine. During his last speech President Putin reminded the West of Kosovo but in due time the West may remind him of Crimea," Sargsyan said.
