Swiss Ambassador to Armenia Lukas Gasser: Switzerland will try to contribute to a peaceful settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict without questioning the established formats such as the OSCE Minsk process

A memorial dedicated to the Armenian Genocide victims will be erected in Geneva. Time Turk reports that the relevant decision was taken as early as 2011. The author of the memorial is Melik Ohanian.
Though the memorial is reported to have no "genocide" word in its name, the decision has already caused Ankara's concern. The spokesperson for the Swiss Foreign Ministry told Turkey-based Cihan news agency that the authorities of Switzerland cannot stop the construction of the memorial. According to the spokesperson, the Swiss authorities know how painful this issue is for Turkey; however, they maintain relations with Armenia and Turkey simultaneously and seek to improve the relations between Yerevan and Ankara.
