In order to resolve the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, its parties need a political will, Ambassador of Germany to Armenia Reiner Morell said during a press- conference on Wednesday, when asked if Azerbaijan may follow Germany's example, that is, forget its old wounds and agree to make peace.
Morell expressed hope that this would happen. He said that the German- French history was a bright example of how enemies could make peace if they had a political will to do it.
Asked if the world community could pressure Azerbaijan into peace, Morell said that it was a hard task. "I guess if I tried to pressure you, you would refuse to do what I say. So, we believe that only a dialogue can help you to achieve success. This is a stable way to solve a problem. This may seem hard, sometimes, disappointing, but history shows that this is the most effective method," Morell said.
