Armenia should be ready for any developments in Syria and the Armenian Government is discussing all possible scenarios, Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan said during a meeting with the teaching staff of the Artsakh State University. The press service of the Armenian Government has told ArmInfo that Tigran Sargsyan thinks escalation of tension in the region cannot help having a negative impact on Armenia. The Prime Minister said that the security of Syrian Armenians is a priority for Armenia.
Numerous people are expected to leave Aleppo and their movement in the territory of Syria may be unsafe. "We should be ready to host our compatriots from Syria and to take them out of the blockade. All possible scenarios are being discussed", said Sargsyan.
