The Agreement on Basic Principles of Armenia-EU Cooperation will create prospects for promoting the bilateral cooperation in a number of fields, Zohrab Mnatsakanyan, Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia, said on Thursday, when presenting the draft agreement to the National Assembly.
He said that the agreement was signed on 12 Dec 2012 and the European Parliament ratified it. "The given document is a part of the Agreement on Cooperation and Partnership. The country will pay membership fees for participation in any particular program and the fee will be determined by a relevant memorandum", Mnatsakanyan said. He added that the given agreement will promote the cooperation in culture, education, justice, agriculture, etc.
