Campaigning for military actions and militaristic calls of Azerbaijan's Ambassador to Russia Polad Bul-Bul oghli are not part of diplomats' duties, the statement of Armenia's Embassy to Russia reads. The Embassy spread the statement in response to Azerbaijan's ambassador statement made upon Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian's note that Bul-Bul oghli goes beyond the diplomatic ethics.
"No other assessment can be given to such statements of Azerbaijan's Ambassador to Russia as 'necessity of new war in Karabakh, in which he personally is ready to fight and serve as example to other Azerbaijanis, living in Russia or that settlement of Karabakh conflict by peaceful means proved to be non-efficient and that is why the military settlement is the only way'. The diplomats' task is to contribute to peace and not campaign for war and instigate international hatred especially in the country of residence, where a lot of Armenians and Azerbaijanis live", the statement of the Armenian Embassy to Russia reads.
Earlier Armenia's Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian answering to lawmaker Gurgen Arsenyan's comment that the Armenia's Ambassador to Russia Oleg Yesayan's work is inefficient compared to his Azerbaijani counterpart Polad Bul-Bul oghli, stated that he does not agree with such assessment. According to Nalbandian Bul-Bul oghli goes beyond diplomatic ethics in his work.
In response to this Azerbaijan's Ambassador to Russia stated that the work of diplomats accredited in foreign countries can be assessed only by the authorities of their countries as well as by the country of residence and not by ministers of third countries.
