The 2nd economic forum of the Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) has kicked off in Yerevan on Saturday.
The key topic of the forum is the Customs Union: Opportunities and Challenges.
In his written address to the forum, the leader of the RPA, President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan said that Armenia has already fulfilled most of its obligations for joining the Customs Union. As soon as it fulfills all of them, it will be able to sign the agreement that will confirm its direct involvement in the Eurasian integration.
Russia's Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev also addressed the forum in a letter. He said that Armenia has made a very important choice. "Today you are successfully fulfilling your accession obligations," Medvedev said.
He said that today integration has become a global tendency and pointed out that the Customs Union integration format is already giving dividends to its participants.
