Leader of Heritage Party, candidate for president of Armenia Raffi Hovannisian, who took the second place by preliminary results of the voting, has just left the residence of the president and joined his supporters who have gathered in front of the Presidential Administration.
ArmInfo's correspondent on the spot reports that the crowd welcomed Raffi with the slogan "Raffi President!" However, Hovannisian refused to tell any details of his meeting with the president before the rally in the Liberty Square at 5:00pm on February 22. Hovannisian's supporters were not satisfied with the answer and demanded details crying out "Now! Now!" Nevertheless, Hovannisian just urged everyone to go home before and wait till February 22 rally. He said that he is
to meet with foreign diplomats today.
To recall, Raffi Hovannisian who received 36.75% of votes and lost the election to the incumbent president Serzh Sargsyan who received 58.64% of votes does not agree with the election outcome and demands the president to cede the power. Dozens of thousands of his supporters gathered in the Liberty Square earlier on February 20.
