Beeline and Children of Armenia Fund (COAF) have summed up the first results of the project dedicated to development of children in the rural communities. Under the project, 4 crafts groups were launched for the schoolchildren of Myasnikyan, Karakert, Dalarik and Aragatsavan communities.
The press service of Beeline Armenia has told ArmInfo that an exhibition of handicrafts of the children studying in the groups officially opened in the community of Karakert on October 31. Beeline Armenia CEO Andrey Pyatakhin, COAF CEO Anush Yedigaryan, principals of schools and other guests attended the event.
The exhibition featured the handmade works of the project participants from Myasnikyan, Karakert, Dalarik communities (Armavir marz) and Aragatsavan community (Aragatsotn marz).
"The projects in Armenian marzes, especially youth have a special place in the social strategy of Beeline. We are glad to say that we have managed to create new opportunities for children's development and to allow them to demonstrate their talent and the results of their study. I am sure that the crafts groups helped the children make their lives better and opened for them new prospects for development'', Beeline Armenia CEO Andrey Pyatakhin said. "Very often the youth living in rural communities don't realize the significance of crafts for their future profession and work. To fill this gap, to make the crafts a source of possible income and to develop the crafts among children, COAF applied to Beeline and received a positive response. We are happy to see that the COAF ideology meets the corporate responsibility principles of Beeline. Today we are jointly working to ensure a better future for our children", said COAF CEO Anush Yedigaryan. To note, Beeline and COAF have been cooperating since 2012 and have already implemented numerous educational, environmental and social projects.
