Swiss Ambassador to Armenia Lukas Gasser: Switzerland will try to contribute to a peaceful settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict without questioning the established formats such as the OSCE Minsk process
Several dozens of Armenian families, members of which are Russian citizens, living in the 8th district of Gyumri and serving in the 102-nd Russian military base, told Radio Liberty that they received notification to move from their apartments within 10 days term, as families of soldiers arriving from Russia will live there. One of the residents of these apartments said that this is for the third time that they received notices to move from the apartments to vacate space for Russian families. However, they are not going to move, as nobody explained them why they have to do that. "Let them provide us with another apartment and we shall leave", - he said.
Spokesman for the Ministry of Defense, Artsrun Harutyunyan, said the ministry is discussing the issue of these families with the Russian party to find a legal and mutually acceptable solution.
