The Public Services Regulatory Commission (PSRC) has permitted the Russian Embassy in Armenia to use a radio frequency in Yerevan and adjacent settlements. The relevant decision was taken at the PSRC's meeting on June 22.
Head of the Telecommunications Department at the PSRC Gevorg Gevorgyan said that there is nothing extraordinary in providing a radio frequency to the Russian Embassy. "There have been such precedents and the application of the Russian Embassy is not the first one," he said.
He added that the US Embassy in Armenia has also been provided with a radio frequency. "The Armenian embassies abroad also use such opportunities," he said.
To note, according to the draft decision, the Russian Embassy in Armenia is provided with 147.150 MHz and 147.350 MHz frequencies for 1 year.
