Marat Terterov: Armenia’s long term security will be better served by strengthening economic security, rather than defining national security on the basis of the Tsarist Russian catch-cry “armiya i flot”
Jermuk Group, producer of mineral and spring water in Armenia, operates without interruption and the rumors on pay actions are groundless, Financial Director of the company Khachik Khachatryan told ArmInfo.
"Jermuk Group is among the companies that pay the highest salaries in the country. The average salary of our employees is 180,000 drams (over $400)," Khachatryan said. He admitted that there were some complaints from loaders and cleaners who receive 85,000 drams ($200). However, the financial director is sure that it is a normal salary for positions of loaders and cleaners.
"The workers of the plant receive a salary below 85,000 drams do not complain," Khachatryan said and explained that workers do not need to make physical efforts as the plant is equipped with up-to-date assembly lines.
Jermuk Group belongs to parliamentarian Ashot Arsenyan (Republican Party), who has recently expanded his business and become the Armenian partners of Nestle Company. According to the sources close to RPA, Arsenyan "seized" that business from his colleague, parliamentarian from the Republican Party, the owner of Slav Group Company, Arkady Hambartsoumyan.
