Karashamb burial ground located in Kotayk region goes on surprising archaeologists which have been digging burials of the middle Bronze Age, during which they found, in particular, a silver cup with figures of people and animals.
As director of Archeology and Ethnography Institute under Armenia's National Academy of Science, Pavel Avetisyan, told Arminfo correspondent, in Karashamb they have managed to find a big number of unique items, in particular, buttons and figures made of grass at the end of the 3-rd- beginning of the 2-nd millennia B.C. "Glass is a phenomenon for that period of time. We even found figures of birds made of glass", - he said.
