During the Jan 13 press conference in Yerevan, Krzysztof Penderecki, a well-known Polish composer of Armenian origin, said that he will dedicate a composition to the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide.
The Days of Krzysztof Penderecki will be held in Yerevan on January 13-16. The Days will mark the 80th anniversary of the composer. The Days of Krzysztof Penderecki were also held in Armenia in 2008 and 2009.
Penderecki pointed out that he appreciates not only the high skills of the Armenian musicians, but also the warm reception of the audience. A total of 4 concerts will be given within the frames of the Days.
