Tbilisi. EU and Georgia will continue cooperation in the format of the Human Rights Dialogue, the Press and Information Department of MFA of Georgia reports on Wednesday, June 27, according to the fifth round of talks.
The Georgian delegation was headed at the meeting by deputy Foreign Minister of Georgia Tornike Gordadze, the EU delegation was led by Veronique Arnault, Director of the Human Rights & Democracy Department, European External Action Service. Representatives of authorities and international organizations and embassies, accredited in Georgia participated in the meeting.
The parties discussed such themes as judicial system, election environment, human rights protection. The meeting was held in the constructive and open atmosphere. The parties confirmed their readiness to continue cooperation in that format", the statement reads.
Earlier, head of the EU Delegation to Georgia, Ambassador Philip Dimitrov disseminated on behalf of the EU countries a statement, which noted that Georgia continued implementing reforms in the sphere of human rights.
