Tbilisi. Co-owner of "Global TV", national of the USA Alexander Ronjers was released on Friday, June 15, at night after five hour interrogation and left Georgia, "Maestro" TV company reports.

                Alexander Ronjers was detained in Tbilisi international airport on June 14 for interrogation by the investigation service of the Finance Ministry of Georgia, which had begun investigation of a fact of alleged legalization of illegal incomes.

                The fact Ronjers sold immovable property in Tbilisi for GEL3,1 mln (approx. $1,9 mln) on June 8, 2012 and  cashed a greater part of the amount caused suspicion as Ronjers did not declared the amount, taken from the account,  when he was leaving Georgia.  

                The owner of the "Global TV" share told two days ago that the company suspended its activity as a result of Tbilisi City Court's decision to dismantled "Global TV" satellite aerials on the whole territory of Georgia.

Majority Candidates in Tbilisi Districts from Ivanishvili's Coalition are Named Tbilisi. David Berdzenishvili, a representative of the political coalition of Georgian billionaire Bidzina Ivanishvili Georgian Dream, one of the leaders of the Republican Party of Georgia familiarized journalists  on Friday, June 15, with results of the pubic opinion poll which was held to determine majority candidates in Tbilisi.

According to Berdzenishvili, former Georgian ombudsman Sozar Subari got the first place in Samgori district according to results of the poll, Levan Berdzenishvili,  one of the leaders of the Republican party - in Vake district, lawyer Eka Beselia in Nadzaladevi district, the Republican Party member Vakhtang Khmaladze in Mtatsminda district, David Berdzenishvili in Didube, member of the party Our Georgia-Free Democrats Viktor Dolidze in Chugureti district.

"As far as Saburtalo, Isani and Samgori districts are concerned, Tina Khidasheli (Republican Party) leads there and in connection with this a decision has not been made in these districts", Berdzenishvili said.

                Georgian Dream conducted two public opinion polls to determine candidates. The first poll was carried out in April, the second in May.

On Sunday, June 10, Georgian billionaire-oppositionist Bidzina Ivanishvili named candidates from majority districts in Imereti region at the meeting of the coalition "Georgian Dream" (which was set up by him), which was held in Kutaisi - the second large city in Georgia after Tbilisi.

                2012 parliamentary elections will be held in Georgia in October of the current year. The oppositional coalition "Georgian Dream" announced launching of its election campaign at its fist meeting in Tbilisi on May 27. From the beginning of June the coalition has been holding meeting in Georgian regions.

                The rally was held in the Station Square, the participants filled the square and adjoining streets.

One of the leaders of the National Forum Gubaz Sanikidze will run for parliament from "Georgian Dream" in Kutaisi, in majoritarian districts in Imereti region, ex-captain of Georgian football combined team Kakhi Kaladze - in Samtredia, lawyer Archil KbilashviIi - in Bagdadi, actor Gogi Kavtaradze - in Zestafoni, journalist Eliso Chapidze  - in Tkibuli, Nodar Ebanoidze - in Kharagauli.

Speaking about Georgian Dream plans, Ivanishvili named among its tasks " fair court and free police", he promised to establish rule of law and respect to human rights in the country. Ivanishvili promised to increase pensions to the subsistence level in case of coming to power. He also promised to revive Georgia's industrial potential, set up the uniform fund of supporting agriculture and make Kutaisi "an educational center of Georgia".

Georgian Dream plans to hold the next rally on June 17 in Ozurgeti (Guria), where other majority candidates will be named.
