The 800ha territories will remain under the adversary's control temporarily, participant of Karabakh war, reconnoiter of the Central Command, founder and commander of the reconnoiters division of special operations Vova Vardanov said at today's press- conference in Yerevan, commenting on the 800 ha of territories lost during Azerbaijan's aggression in Nagorno-Karabakh.
"Those largely discussed 700-800ha are neutral zone between the dug positions. The Armenian side lost the opportunity to use 20 ha in the North and 30 ha in the South. These territories will remain under the adversary's control temporarily. We have not lost them we would lose them if we resolved ourselves to the fact, and this must not be allowed", Vardanov said. According to him these territories are certainly important.
"Of course, one position can not have significant strategic importance but it definitely has great tactic and operative importance, as the adversary can already see our positions from rear in direction of Talish. From tactical point of view they can target dozens of our servicemen, Vardanov stated.
Soldier volunteer, participant of Karabakh war Shahe Achemyan in his turn stated that the Armenian side is strong enough to return the territories. "All our soldiers have strong fighting spirit and we are with them. But the fact that adversary is unpredictable should always be considered. We are prepared but the war has not finished. We should be watchful. Unless the peaceful agreement is signed the war can restart at any moment", Achemyan noted.
