Artashat Municipality refutes the reports no beating of Mayor Gagik Muradyan by Genrikh (Jonik) Abrahamyan, the brother of Armenian Parliament Speaker Hovik Abrahamyan. The Municipality reports that Muradyan and Abrahamyan have good relationships.
The Municipality reports that the information does not correspond to reality and the submitted banks are groundless and fake. The source reports that in the course of the Feb 18 presidential election incumbent president Serzh Sargsayan received rather big percentage of votes.
"Such unpleasant incidents between Gagik Muradyan and Genrikh Abrahamyan are impossible as they have good relations," the statement reads.
Earlier Lragir.am reported that Hovik Abrahamyas's brother Jonik Abrahamyan beat up Artashat Mayor Gagik Muradyan. They speak in Artashat that the reason was Serzh Sargsyan's votes in Artashat that were not as many as it was planned. So, Jonik Abrahamyan suspected that the Mayor pocketed the money, so he demanded them back.
