Kremlin is concerned over unrest in Turkey, Yerevan and Almaty and closely follows the situation, Spokesperson of Russia's President Dmitry Peskov stated at a press conference.
According to him such unrest near the borders of Russia raises concerns. Interfax informs that Peskov stressed that the country and its borderline areas' security is surely ensured on due level and certainly necessary measures are being taken considering the developments.
"Giving similar assessments to events happening in the neighboring countries is hardly possible, because, of course, each particular case should be analyzed independently. In one case there is a clear attempt of a coup that has led to numerous casualties, in another there are various criminal incidents," Peskov said.
To recall, Artsakh war hero Zhirayr Sefilyan's armed supporters, who seized the building of the Patrol- Guard Service Regiment in Erebuni district of Yerevan on Sunday morning, are still holding the police as hostages. Meanwhile, three policemen and one civilian were killed, and several others were injured following an attack on a police station in Almaty, Kazakhstan on July 18.
