The Investigative Committee has instituted a criminal case over the shooting at Levon Nalbandyan, the son of Lori province governor Arthur Nalbandyan, under Article 120 Part 1 of the Armenian Criminal Code (reckless infliction of grievous bodily harm) and Article 235 Part 1 (illegal keeping of fire weapons).
The Investigative Committee has told ArmInfo that on July 19, at 0:40 am, the Alaverdi Medical Center reported that Levon Nalbandyan (born in 1993) was brought to the Medical Center with gunshot wounds.
On the same day, at 2:10 am, Karen Yeritsyan, a resident of Alaverdi, went to the police station and confessed that he recklessly wounded his friend with an AK-74.
To note, the incident took place during a hunt. Levon Nalbandyan's friend recklessly shot at Nalbandyan instead of the target. Nalbandyan was then moved to the Erebuni Medical Center in Yerevan and operated on. At the moment, his condition is qualified as satisfactory.
