Tbilisi. On Monday, March 17, Georgian Prime Minister, Irakli
Garibashvili met with Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan
Zarar Ahmad Osmani. According to the
premier's press-service information, the sides discussed relations of two
countries and expressed their willingness to enhance cooperation in economic
and transport spheres. Georgia is also ready to share its experience in
democratic reforms implementation.
The Foreign Minister of Afghanistan
thanked the head of the Georgian Government for Georgia's military
participation in ISAF mission and contribution to the fight against terrorism.
The Georgian Prime Minister wished success
to Afghanistan in the next presidential elections and noted that free and fair
elections would promote further development of the country.
The Afghan delegation, headed by the
Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, Zarar Ahmad Osmani, is
paying the official visit to Georgia on March 16-17
Within the framework of the visit, the
Afghan Foreign Minister's meetings with the President of Georgia, Foreign and
Defense Ministers have been scheduled
