Over thirty employees of Beeline Company participated in a voluntary campaign of blood donation at Eolyan Republican Center of Hematology  on 26-27 June. The donated blood will be used for treatment of children at the  Center.

"Blood donation is a very personal and voluntary action, and I am very proud of Beeline's staff for responsiveness and participation. I share the opinion of one of our employees who said after donating blood that this day is very symbolic and full of positive emotions from understanding that you are saving anyone's life," says Andrey Pyatakhin, Beeline Armenia Director General.

Deputy Head of the Republican Center of Hematology for Blood Service, Marina Kamalyan, in turn, thanked the company staff and presented them with buttons for voluntary donation. She said Beeline greatly contributes to development of donation movement in Yerevan. She said all the blood samples have been transferred to the patients.

Kamalyan said everyone can donate 400ml blood without any damage to his health once or twice in a year. If 40 of every 1000 people in Armenia regularly donate blood, there will be enough blood for transfusion in the country.  "There are nearly 12000 permanent donors in Armenia, but only 4.7% of them donate blood voluntarily," Kamalyan said.

It is noteworthy that Beeline staff regularly donates blood. Such voluntary blood donation campaigns are held once in a year.
