Tbilisi. Georgian Parliament Chairman, Davit Bakradze, has introduced majoritarian MP candidates from the ruling United National Movement (UNM) in Bolnisi, Dmanisi and Tetritskaro (Kvemo Kartli region, Eastern Georgia) municipalities. Koba Nakopia, an acting majoritarian MP in Bolnisi municipality, will run as the United National Movement candidate for Bolnisi municipality; Kakha Okriashvili - for Dmanisi municipality; David Bezhuashvili, currently majoritarian MP from the ruling party, will run as candidate for Tetritskaro municipality.
"We have started introducing majoritarian MP candidates. From today, majoritarian MP candidates will be introduced on daily basis. We are naming them so that they could be side-by-side with people, work for people and bring welfare to each family," Bakradze stated.
"Our goal is to ensure that each family gets more benefit from country's development; to provide access to medical services; to eradicate unemployment and strengthen the role of Georgian village," the UNM said in its statement, released on added. August 2.
As it was reported on Wednesday, August 1, Georgian President, Mikheil Saakashvili announced the date of parliamentary elections - October 1.
