According to the July 7 decision of Public Services Regulatory Commission of the Republic of Armenia (PSRC), drinking water tariff will remain unchanged (170, 256 AMD/ 1cu m - including the VAT) in Yerevan and several adjacent villages. PSRC's decision will take effect starting Aug 9. 2015.
To note, the company was about to increase the water rate by 2.4 AMD, however, renounced the idea. "Yerevan Djur"'s constant work has contributed to 81% of decrease in energy expenses. This has resulted in the decision to preserve the current rate.
In 2015-2016 "Yerevan Djur" invested more than 11.38 bln AMD into water supply system of Yerevan and several adjacent villages. Over the reported period the company has increased the water supply volumes from 55 mln cu m up to 67,7 mln cu m. At the same time it decreased water losses by 26% and energy expenses by 80%. A 21-mln-USD loan programme will be launched in 2015. The programme will be aimed at water supply system reconstruction, as well as at the construction of yard pump stations.
