Head of Ucom IT Security department Karen Gasparyan has told ArmInfo journalist that in February 2015 hackers attempted 200 thsd failed attacks at Ucom website, another Ucom project - www.recognize1915.am - suffered more than 50 various attack-types each of which could bring to more than one million attacks.
He has added that all companies that use a real IP address can potentially become a target. It is different with home users - since they do not use a real IP, servers receive the attack-jolt. In most cases the user does not get the full attack for it is stopped due to the intervention through the server. The gravity of the attack level has increased along with Internet development and evolution.
It is noteworthy that Ucom Company organized a Media and Information Security Conference on April 10- 11 ahead of the Armenian Genocide Centennial. Mass media representatives, specialists in the information and cyber security, bloggers and other experts attended the event held under the project "Recognize 1915" (www.recognize1915.am).

The event was implemented within "Recognize 1915" project. A public awareness- raising instrument has been created under the project. It enables everyone to add a banner telling about the Genocide of Armenians to their e-mails and inform and remind their friends and colleagues of the Genocide through e-correspondence.
