Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan welcomes any polemic if it is aimed at approaching reality from different points of view and improving something, the President's Spokesman Arman Saghatelyan said in an interview to Aravot newspaper, when asked about the President's attitude towards the indirect dispute that took place recently between former President Robert Kocharyan and incumbent Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan.
"The President thinks that the Prime Minister and other Government officials gave an appropriate response to Kocharyan's questions. The President has always urged the Government to be as comprehensive as possible in their explanations on questions raised by the public and as active as possible in commenting on the concerns voiced by mass media and political parties. The President advocates unemotional and constructive discussions aiming to solve specific problems," Saghatelyan said.
He said that recently the Government has become more active and open. "We are sure that this policy will be continued as it is right," the President's Spokesman said.
