Candidate for president of Armenia, Leader of National Accord Party Aram Haroutiunyan will withdraw his candidature on Feb 8 at 5:0pm. A day before that Haroutiunyan is going to announce a hunger strike in front of the Central Electoral Commission as a sign of protest against illegitimate election. The candidate made such statement to media, Tuesday.
"ANC, ARFD, Prosperous Armenia, that received 46% of votes during the parliamentary elections in May, do not participate in the presidential election. And I urge all the other candidates to withdraw their candidatures leaving Serzh Sargsyan alone. As regards the votes I would receive running for president, this is a question to the sociologist Aharon Adibekyan," said the so-far candidate Aram Haroutiunyan.
