President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan, who is on a working visit to the United States, held meetings in the Senate.
Serzh Sargsyan, particularly, met with Senators John McCain, Jack Reed, Robert Menendez, and Mitch McConnell.
Afterwards, the Armenian leader met with the U.S. Co-Chair of the OSCE Minsk Group, Ambassador James Warlick.
Today, the president will visit the Holocaust Museum in Washington and the Congress Library.
On May 7, an agreement on trade and investments will be signed between Armenia and the U.S. The document also looks to boost anti-corruption measures. On May 7 in the evening, Serzh Sargsyan will participate in an inter-religious prayer in memory for the Armenian Genocide martyrs to be held at the National Cathedral in Washington. The president will meet also the local Armenian community.
