Armenia is strong with its Diaspora, and Diaspora is vital with Armenia, President Serzh Sargsyan said in an interview with Radio Vatican. "Our people has a great potential, but we have not used it at full yet. Diaspora's potential must be used for the prosperity of Armenia, first, so that the strong and powerful Armenia, in turn, 'cultivates' and encourages Diaspora," the Armenian leader said. He said the major message is the unity of the people in the most important issues, for instance, in the settlement of the Karabakh conflict and achievement of the international recognition of the Armenian Genocide in Ottoman Turkey.
"These are two of the three major tasks the Armenian people must settle. The third task is the development and prosperity of Armenia. We must be united in these three issues," the president said and thanked the Diaspora Armenians for their permanent support to the Motherland.
