Tbilisi. Russian alpinists, who were in Svaneti mountains for six days and could not get out of the "mountain captivity", were saved. At the present time four citizens of Russia are in Mestia district center, head of Mestia Municipality Ilia Japaridze told the BLACK SEA PRESS correspondent on Tuesday, August 7.
According to him, at 1 p.m. rescuers came from Tbilisi by a helicopter to the place of the incident, took the alpinists and transported them to Mestia.
"I have already met personally with them. One of the alpinists, who has inured a leg, is in the hospital, nothing endangers his life", Japaridze noted.
According to him, the rest three alpinists feel well.
Russian alpinists were covered by stone fall and land slide in Svaneti mountains at the height of 3,7 thousand meters above the sea level. They could not get out of the inaccessible area in Svaneti mountains near Tetnuldi peak for six days. Over 60 rescuers were searching of them.
