Swiss Ambassador to Armenia Lukas Gasser: Switzerland will try to contribute to a peaceful settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict without questioning the established formats such as the OSCE Minsk process
by David Stepanyan
Independent Armenia would break relations with a terrorist-state USA and demand international investigation of actions by the leadership of the USA, as the actions scheduled regarding Syria may be called just a crime against humanity, a member of the "Karabakh" committee, the advisor of the first president of Armenia for the national security issues, Ashot Manucharyan, told journalists today.
"If the incumbent authorities of Armenia do not do that as they fully depend on the USA, at least the Armenian opposition should come forward with such demands. Finally, we need to clear out what forces are behind the plans of the present administration of the USA. Washington starts a war without any ground. They interfered and destructed Iraq, Libya, Afghanistan, and Syria is the next. But the actions by the Americans in Syria will have unpredictable consequences, taking into account the fact that chemical weapon is kept in many Syrian cities", - he said.
Manucharyan thinks that if the Americans interfere in Syria, Azerbaijan will not start a military adventure against Nagornyy Karabakh, as Aliyev will have other problems. In this context, he emphasized that when demonstrating its devil-may-care attitude to international legislation, the USA proves once again the availability of quite another logic, which is quickly taken by Iran, China and Russia. "In this context, we may suppose that a "response" to Syria will be asymmetric and will touch on absolutely different points of the world", - Manucharyan concluded.
