Tbilisi. Shalva Abuladze, accused of policemen's murder, was detained on Friday, April 10, in one of the forsaken houses in Borjomi (Samtskhe-Javakheti region), Georgian Rustavi TV company reports. At the preset time he is being transported to Tbilisi.
Shalva Abuladze (DoB 1997) was wanted on suspicion of murder of one policeman and wounding another policeman overnight on Sunday, April 5. Besides, in January he was announced searched for on charges of assault on the policemen in Borjomi, as a result of which one of them was killed.
As it was told in the Prosecutor's Office, Abuladze had been brought charges in absentia pursuant to part 3 of Article 353-1 of the Criminal Code of Georgia (depriving a policeman of life during fulfilling his/her duties(, part 3 of Article 19, 352-1 of CC (an attempt to deprive a policeman of life during fulfilling his/her duties) and parts 1 and 2 of Article 236 (illegal purchase, possession of firearms). If his guilt is confirmed, he may be sentenced to 16-20 year imprisonment.
