In 2012 number of ambulance calls in Armenia grew by 11.3%, Director of First Aid CJSC Taguhi Stepanyan told journalists on Tuesday.
She said that a total of 202,457 calls against 181,871 ones in 2011. Most of the calls were from people with heart problems and injuries.
Stepanyan said that an ambulance car arrives in 7-12 minutes. "In 2012 our efficiency improved due to new cars and equipment and USAID's program to provide us with radio sets," Stepanyan said.
