Marat Terterov: Armenia’s long term security will be better served by strengthening economic security, rather than defining national security on the basis of the Tsarist Russian catch-cry “armiya i flot”
The opening of EU Center in Armenia is a great achievement which we have been waiting for many years. I can say for sure that development of relations with Armenia is active as never before, Head of EU delegation to Armenia, Ambassador Traian Hristea said today during the opening ceremony of the center.
"We have more than 80 EU funded projects promoting reforms in Armenia on human rights, trade and economic development, migration, culture and many other topics," - Hristea said and added that letting people know about the efforts of the EU and its Armenian counterparts is of utmost importance. "This center will be at the heart of EU communication in Armenia," emphasized.
The center is a professional communication facility that coordinates communication activities of the EU funded projects in Armenia. It will serve as an EU information point and will be open to the public this spring.
