The parliamentary faction of the Armenian National Congress is not going to meet President Serzh Sargsyan to discuss candidacy for the new prime minister, the statement by the ANC says. The Congress pointed at holding of fair and transparent elections like a condition for discussion of the key issues with Serzh Sargsyan.
To recall, the meetings of representatives of the parliamentary factions with the president are scheduled for 10 April. Representatives of the Heritage party, Tevan Pogosyan, said that the party will hardly accept the invitation. As for ARFD, they will meet the president and submit 7 points, but the possibility of joining the coalition is ruled out and the party is not going to support candidacy of the new premier.
To note. the names of the two candidates for the premier are circulating in mass media - speaker of the parliament Hovik Abrahamyan and the former mayor of Yerevan Karen Karapetyan.
