 The parliamentary group of the Armenian National Congress demands conducting mid-term presidential and parliamentary elections.

While speaking in the parliament on Tuesday the leader of the group Levon Zurabyan said that the Feb 18 presidential election has shown once against the ruling regime does not want any reforms in the country's political system.

He said that all the efforts of the ANC, the ARFD and Prosperous Armenia Party to reform Armenia's electoral system have been in vain - on Feb 18 the regime used the same methods it used during the previous elections: names of absent people in voters lists, bribes, carousel voting, threats.

Zurabyan is sure that in due time the regime will be made responsible for what it did.

MP from the ANC, the leader of the People's Party of Armenia Stepan Demirchyan said that despite the regime's promises, the past election was not the best ever in Armenia. "And one of the main reasons why it could not be fair is that the organizers of the previous election frauds are still unpunished," Demirchyan said.
