During the 7th annual DigiTec Business Forum scheduled on 20-21 June in Yerevan, Converse Bank will offer new product of e:commerce - Visa Virtual Account. As press-service of the bank reported, through this product, one can avoid risks linked with cards when making e:commerce deals and payments. A client of the bank (an individual person) instead of getting a card, should open an on:line account with his card data, which are used when purchasing something at Internet-shops.
The Visa Virtual Account will be in much demand among youth when buying something in foreign and local on:line stores, as this product is easily managed and available, and payment for the three-year service is 1000 AMD. One can manage the virtual card through the Internet-banking. To make on:line utility and other payments, one can register the card data in the Arca.am system as well.
Clients of Converse Bank may buy the virtual card without visiting the bank, just through filling an application at the Converse Bank web site or visiting the Facebook page of the bank.
According to the analytical review of ArmInfo "Armenian banks in the card business", as of 1 April 2014, Converse Bank owned 84 ATMs (51 in Yerevan and 33 - in the regions), as well as 374 POS- terminals. Along with local Arca cards, the bank issues and renders services to the international cards Visa and MasterCard.
To note, CJSC "Converse Bank" was founded in 1993. The shareholders of the bank are "Advanced Global Investments" (95%) and Armenian Apostolic Church (5%). The bank has 35 offices, the majority of which are located in the regions of Armenia.
